Last week, in an Article that Graced Our Front Page, We Covered the Inference that Romelu Lukaku Might be Looking to Reject a Move to Chelsea in Favour of Coming to Old Trafford
The inference being bandied about by the media was that the 23-year-old Belgian striker, who leads the Premier League scoring charts, has fears that Antonio Conte`s tactics might not suit his style of play.
With Jose Mourinho looking to add to his strike force this summer, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic recovering from a serious knee injury and with Wayne Rooney likely to heading for pastures new, bringing in Lukaku, who has shown he can score on a regular basis in the Premier League, seems to be a sensible option, even if the fee, as most appear to be these days, is bordering on the extortionate.
However, somebody who worked very successfully alongside Sir Alex Ferguson has doubts as to whether Lukaku is ready for a move to Old Trafford.
In an article in the Independent, Rene Meulensteen is of the opinion the Belgian international striker is not yet good enough to become a Manchester United player.
Now Rene may have a point but if Manchester United harbour ambitions of recruiting Lukaku you get the feeling it has to be this summer, otherwise the club are likely to miss out with the player going elsewhere.
But what are your feelings on the striker who divides opinion?
Do you believe he`s good enough for Manchester United or, like Rene, do you have reservations
